Applebees History

Applebees history started two decades ago. Its history restaurant was owned, re-owned and franchised by different people, until two persons got to manage it properly. Applebees restaurant was established in 1980 by TJ and Bill Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia which they sell to W.R Grace and Company three years after. In 1985 the principal owner of Cafe Ventures named Bill Palmer became a franchiser of Applebee’s. The name was changed to Applebee’s Neighbourhood Grill & Bar in 1986. The first Applebee’s franchise was first opened in Kansas City by John Hamra and Abe Gustin. And in 1988 W.R Grace and Company sells the rights of the Applebee’s to John Hamra and Abe Gustin. A year later they opened their one hundredth restaurant in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. When the Applebees Restaurant finally reached over one thousand last 1998, they all celebrated for the success of the restaurant and decided to change their menu a bit and it finally happened last 2000.

Based on the Applebees history in 2004 they decided two go in business with the Weight Watchers. This is very beneficial for people who want to lose weight, weight conscious and people who are watching their weight. It is because the Applebees Restaurant will be providing their customers a good delicious and healthy meal to help them not gain weight even if they are eating heavy meals from the restaurant.

Another great thing that happened on that happened in the Applebees history was they started to let the people know about their carside to curb service. This is where people will make their orders and bring it to their homes for their loved ones or for their selves. It is where the Applebees Restaurant will be preparing the order of the customer for pick up. What is good about this carside thing is that customer will no longer need to get out of his car because a waiter or a waitress will bring your order to your car and you can give them the payment. This is beneficial for people who are too busy that they can’t even have time to buy their food or wait in line for the counter to give their orders.
